Current transformers are used for interfacing a power generator with a measurement circuit.

They allow measurement of very high values of alternating or pulsed currents.

Electrical characteristics

  • Accuracy class : class 3 to class 0,1 (According to Standards 60044-1)
  • Insulation voltage : up to 20kV DC (higher voltage on request)
  • Currents : up to 50kA peak
  • Pulse duration : 10µs to 10ms

Applications

  •  Measurement of alternating currents up to 1000A
  • Measuring discharge pulse current up to 50kA

Terminals

  • Screw terminals
  • Protected terminals
  • High voltage insulated terminals
  • Flat tags or U terminals
